Job description
You will take responsibility for strengthening cyber security posture across the group through proactive testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of security controls., * Conducting internal and external penetration testing using a red team approach
- Managing recurring vulnerability scanning across systems and services
- Monitoring, analysing, and supporting the maintenance of security infrastructure
- Producing clear, formal reports following penetration tests and assessments
- Recommending and implementing improvements to security standards, tools, and controls
- Supporting and, where required, leading cyber security incident response
- Performing regular security reviews, audits, and risk assessments
- Assessing access controls using least-privilege and need-to-know principles
- Supporting Wi-Fi and network security testing at local sites
- Applying security policies and identifying systems for decommissioning where appropriate
- Participating in major incident management, including documentation and process creation
- Contributing to IT and security policy development and continuous improvement
This role may require occasional travel to group locations and out-of-hours support during major incidents or business continuity events.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TCP/IP?, * Windows Desktop and Server environments
- Active Directory and Group Policy Management
- Linux administration
- Vulnerability scanning and security monitoring tools (e.g. OpenVAS, Security Onion)
- Offensive security tooling (e.g. Kali, Parrot)
- Red team penetration testing methodologies
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model)
- Infrastructure vulnerability assessment
- Scripting or coding experience
- Understanding of exploit development

- Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Exceptional written documentation and reporting skills
- Strong attention to detail and discretion
- Confident, collaborative, and able to challenge constructively
