Job description
The Live Nation Digital Tech Team (LNDT) drives the fan experience across 36 international Live Nation sites, covering 59 countries and 33 languages. We are responsible for the online face of the business and help fans discover and buy tickets they cannot miss.
Alongside our core Live Nation sites, we support and manage over 200 festival and venue websites. These operate independently within our framework, allowing autonomy while ensuring we meet shared standards and needs., You will work within an agile software engineering team across the full development lifecycle, from planning through to delivery. You will help ensure the efficiency, reliability, and quality of all components and features, responding quickly to changing requirements to support Live Nation's success in a fast-moving marketplace.
As our platforms operate 24/7, you may occasionally be required to work out of hours or take part in an on-call rota.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Writing reliable, maintainable code in line with development standards
- Using TDD to guide code design
- Designing, developing, and maintaining relational database structures and schemas
- Creating and optimising SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
- Applying appropriate design patterns
- Using defensive coding to reduce errors and security risks
- Deploying services to AWS
- Developing websites and APIs for the Live Nation platform
- Collaborating with Product to write high-quality user stories
- Writing automated tests to support continuous delivery (ATDD)
- Participating in code reviews and managing merge requests
- Writing clean, maintainable code using OOP, KISS, DRY, and YAGNI principles
- Taking part in a 24/7 on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours support
Requirements
Do you have experience in Unit testing?, * Strong commercial experience with C#, .NET Core, and SQL
- Exposure to Databricks or similar data warehouse technologies
- A passion for clean, maintainable code
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles
- Comfortable working in an agile environment
- Strong communicator who collaborates well and adapts to change
- A creative problem solver who enjoys technical challenges
- Experience with unit testing
