Job description

  • Define and own the product strategy for Strava's map platform including map data and map rendering systems
  • Partner closely with engineering leaders, geospatial engineers and cartographers to translate user needs and technical capabilities into clear product roadmap and a prioritized, incremental execution plan.
  • Lead discovery and prioritization for platform investments and balance user impact with reliability, scalability and cost.
  • Accelerate execution velocity by introducing incremental delivery, measurable milestones, and clear decision frameworks.
  • Act as a stabilizing and motivating force for the team by reducing ambiguity, clarifying priorities and fostering confidence in your product strategy.
  • Champion a culture of ambitious yet pragmatic experimentation, helping teams move faster without compromising engineering rigor.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Product management?, * 6+ years of product management experience with at least 2 years working on mapping, geospatial, platform infrastructure or real time location based products.

  • Exceptional execution discipline with a history of delivering high quality features at speed in XFN and multi-team environments.
  • Proven track record of defining and delivering product roadmaps with significant scale and complexity.
  • Experience working with geospatial data and systems (e.g., maps, routing, geocoding, spatial analytics, location services) in domains such as consumer tech, logistics, mobility, gaming, autonomous systems, or environmental data.
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to engage deeply with engineers on architecture, data pipelines, APIs, and performance tradeoffs.
  • Expertise in a hypothesis-driven, iterative approach to product development, including extensive experience with A/B testing and other validation methods.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to frame problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to balance long-term platform investments with short-term user and business impact.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with the ability to prioritize rigorously and keep teams focused on delivering value.
  • Background in software engineering or data systems, or an advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Geospatial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
