Job description
We are seeking a Workday HCM functional specialist to support Korn Ferry sales partners in designing solutions that integrate Korn Ferry technology into Workday, including apps built on Workday Extend. In this role, you will apply your understanding of Workday HCM configuration, business processes, and downstream module impacts to help shape solution approaches that meet client needs.
You will serve as a functional advisor, guiding internal teams on how configuration choices, business rules, and data structures in Workday HCM influence integration design and how they affect modules such as Recruiting, Performance, Talent, and Career Hub. This role focuses on translating Workday functional knowledge into practical solution guidance that enables scalable, compatible integrations-including technical architecture.
This is a remote role with occasional travel (typically less than 10%) to support sales pursuits, client scoping workshops, and/or internal alignment as needed., Pre-Sales Solution Architecture

Translate client business goals into Workday-aligned solution narratives, explaining how Korn Ferry IP is embedded and consumed within the Workday ecosystem articulating added client value.
-
Serve as the architectural voice in client conversations, demos, workshops, and solution validation sessions.
-
Lead pre-sales solution design by translating client-specific value drivers into a cohesive Workday-aligned architecture that maximizes the impact of Korn Ferry Built on Workday applications, while driving cross-functional alignment across Product, Sales, Consulting, Delivery, and Partner teams throughout the sales and RFP process.
Workday Configuration & Implications
-
Advise on Workday configuration considerations (e.g., job architecture, job profiles, skills, competencies, rating scales, business processes) that affect the successful use of Korn Ferry applications.
-
Clearly articulate downstream implications of Workday business rule decisions on Korn Ferry content, data flows, delivered reports and dashboards, and talent outcomes.
-
Help clients understand what must be in place vs. configurable vs. constrained when leveraging standardized Built on Workday apps.
Korn Ferry IP Enablement
-
Explain how Korn Ferry intellectual property-such as Success Profiles, skills taxonomies, assessments, and pay frameworks-is mapped to and activated within Workday functionality.
-
Ensure solution designs preserve the integrity, defensibility, and scientific grounding of Korn Ferry IP while aligning with Workday's data model and guardrails.
-
Partner with product teams to represent client and field feedback on IP usage within Workday ecosystem.
Partner & Ecosystem Alignment
-
Collaborate with Workday, system integrators, and internal Korn Ferry teams to ensure consistent architectural messaging and expectations.
-
Review proposed client solution approaches to confirm alignment with Built on Workday standards, app capabilities, and product roadmap.
