Job description
We're seeking a proactive Product Owner to lead our Intermediary Acquire and Retain squad. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your product management skills while supporting our growth strategy within the Retail Intermediary segment. You'll work closely with our Distribution and Trading teams to execute the product roadmap, deliver value, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritised, and ready for delivery by the squad.
- Support defining and communicating the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Lead agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) to maintain delivery cadence and resolve blockers.
- Coordinate daily squad activities to ensure alignment with sprint goals and deliverables.
- Support the Product Manager and Senior Product Manager in tracking progress against plans and milestones.
- Collect and incorporate stakeholder and user feedback to inform backlog prioritisation and product improvements.
- Monitor product dashboards, usage metrics, and operational data to identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Ensure the product delivers maximum customer and business value, meeting needs and expectations.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Scrum?, * Experience in Product Ownership or Management within digital or tech-enabled insurance or financial services.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around shared goals.
- Proven experience managing product backlogs in agile environments, facilitating ceremonies, and coordinating teams.
- Familiarity with agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, and tools like ADO, JIRA, or Confluence.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and enable delivery.
- Proactive approach to identifying delivery risks, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Keen interest in developing product management skills, with a focus on strategy and roadmap planning.
- Adaptability to evolving product scope based on changing business needs and priorities.
