Job description
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Enterprise Architect to join Sanoma Learning and lead the architectural evolution of our educational technology ecosystem. This role serves as a critical bridge between business strategy and technology execution, ensuring that our investments in platforms, infrastructure, and shared services deliver long-term value across diverse educational markets. You will harmonize architectural principles, promote cross-domain interoperability, and guide the development of scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions., * Define and maintain enterprise-wide architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks (e.g., security, integration, data models).

Align technology initiatives with business strategy, regulatory obligations, and Sanoma's long-term vision.

Lead cross-domain integration efforts across educational products, content platforms, analytics, and third-party systems.

Evaluate and introduce modern architectural frameworks, tools, and best practices.

Represent the Enterprise Architecture team in strategic taskforces and transformation programmes.

Collaborate with regional, solutions, and domain architects to ensure coherence and reuse across domains.

Support strategic planning and roadmap development for platform evolution and shared services.

Facilitate architectural walkthroughs and technical workshops across business units.

Act as a central voice in enterprise-wide architecture forums and contribute to roadmap planning.

Establish and enforce architectural governance processes and compliance standards.

Maintain a clear overview of the enterprise application portfolio and define roles and responsibilities for development and maintenance.

Provide expert consultation on complex architectural challenges and ensure alignment with enterprise goals.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or strategic technology roles
- Proven ability to lead architecture in complex, multi-country organizations
- Strong understanding of educational platforms, SaaS ecosystems, and interoperability standards
- Experience with integration, legacy system transitions, and cloud-native architectures
- TOGAF or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English
