Job description
As an AG1 Support Production Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the seamless and efficient production of Airbus MRTT product. You will provide critical technical support to the production lines, ensuring the quality, schedule, and cost-effectiveness of our manufacturing processes, specifically focusing on the structural conversion phase., * Production Line Support: Provide immediate technical assistance and problem-solving expertise to production operators and technicians on the AG1 product line, addressing issues related to assembly, testing, and integration.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to existing manufacturing processes, tools, and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize resource utilization for AG1 products.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for production non-conformances, defects, and rework, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Documentation & Standards: Create, review, and update technical documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and quality control plans for the AG1 production area. Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards .
- Configuration Management: Support configuration control activities for AG1 components and assemblies, ensuring proper revision management and traceability throughout the production lifecycle.
- Tooling & Equipment: Collaborate with tooling design and maintenance teams to ensure the availability and proper functioning of production equipment and specialized tools for AG1.
- Training: Provide technical training and guidance to production personnel on new processes, tools, and quality requirements related to the AG1 product.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and program management teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth production flow.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 1-3 years) in a production engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering role within an aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, integration, testing, and quality control.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials, components, and systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA) is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., PPS, 5 Whys).
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate technical information to diverse audiences.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment and collaborate with various departments.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Spain and meet all necessary security clearance requirements for defence programs.
