Tasks

• Manage Oracle Exadata installations and upgrades in all environments.
• Ensure optimal performance and security of Oracle databases daily.

Our international team owns the engineering and operations of database platforms including Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL. As an Oracle Engineer, you'll take end-to-end responsibility for our services from design and automation to operations and third-level support.

What You Will Do

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Exadata on-premises across production and non-production environments.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Databases (19c) in production and non-production environments.
• Ensure day-to-day operation, maintenance, security, availability, and performance of the Oracle database environment.
• Analyze SQL workloads using tuning advisors and database parameters to drive performance tuning and optimization.
• Automate routine tasks and operational work using Ansible and create APIs to improve engineering efficiency.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and up to date documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Implement best practices to improve observability, operational stability, and system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, and Business stakeholders to prioritize work, communicate trade-offs, and deliver measurable results.
• Contribute to a "you build it, you run it" culture, taking ownership of services end-to-end.

• 5+ years with Oracle Database and 3+ years on Oracle Exadata required.
• Strong automation skills with Ansible and API development.
• Excellent communication skills in English, influencing stakeholders., * 5+ years of proven expertise with Oracle Database (19c or higher).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata on-premise.
• Strong automation experience with Ansible, including automating Oracle operations and building APIs.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and influence stakeholders.
• Nice to have:
• Knowledge of other database technologies such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
