Senior Manager Finance Systems - SAP

Our client is a global organisation undergoing a significant evolution of its Finance Technology landscape. To support this journey, they are seeking a Senior Manager, Finance Systems to join their Barcelona hub.

In this high-impact position, you will act as the right hand to the Head of Finance Technology , contributing to the strategy, governance, and delivery of the full Finance Systems technology stack across the group. This is a senior leadership role that blends technical depth, cross-functional finance knowledge, and people management. What will I be doing?

As Senior Manager, Finance Systems, you will: Lead and oversee the roadmap, delivery, and governance of the Finance Systems ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on SAP and S/4HANA .

Support the Head of Finance Technology in shaping global systems strategy and embedding best practices across all finance platforms.

Manage and mentor a team of specialists, ensuring high performance, engagement, and development.

Partner closely with finance process owners (Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and more) to align technology capabilities with business needs.

Drive complex transformation projects, upgrades, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives across the ERP and related systems landscape.

Oversee vendor relationships, budgets, timelines, and compliance across multiple global workstreams.

Act as a senior escalation point for Finance Systems operations and project delivery.

Do you have experience in SAP S/4HANA?, Do you have a Master's degree?, 10+ years of professional experience in Finance Systems, ERP platforms, or Finance Technology roles.

Deep expertise in SAP ERP and S/4HANA , ideally covering both implementation and ongoing optimisation.

Broad understanding of finance functional areas (e.g., accounting, controlling, tax, reporting, master data , etc.).

Proven leadership and people management experience.

Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with a history of leading cross-functional initiatives.

Excellent communication skills in English ; the role is fully English-speaking.

A collaborative, strategic, and delivery-focused mindset.

Willingness to relocate to Barcelona (relocation support available).
