Job description
- Build and test new security controls and tools, and develop and own technical documentation, including technical designs, standard operating procedures, and the knowledge base.
- For some given tools, manage the backlog of new features, prioritize them based on stakeholder input and capability gaps, hold influential discussions with the vendor about future roadmap, and prepare plans towards improvement.
- Continuously challenge the suitability of our security controls and tools and revisit whether we can improve or should replace. Prepare and communicate analysis reports describing existing gaps and suggested roadmap.
- Conduct and/or oversee ethical hacking activities for prioritized services and applications, looking into identifying relevant vulnerabilities in mission critical systems and solutions.
- Conduct market research and pilot security solutions that will improve our security posture.
- Support the SOC in integrating new security controls and tools to expand security monitoring and detection capabilities.
- Keep a constant innovative, challenging and constructive attitude towards continuous improvement.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SoC?, Do you have a Master's degree?, To be successful in this role, you should have experience in building and testing new security controls and tools for adoption and implementation across multiple regions within a global organisation., * 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, of which at least 3 years as security engineer with a scope similar to the one described in this role.
- Deep understanding of the cybersecurity market (vendors, solutions, new trends), cyber threats and their evolution, adversarial techniques, tactics and procedures, and industry frameworks, standards and best practices such as MITRE.
- Strong technical background in IT and cybersecurity.
- Proven experience building and testing new cybersecurity controls and tools in a complex, multinational organization.
- Extensive and proven knowledge and experience with security solutions in various domains, such as IAM, PAM, Breach and Attack Simulation, Ransomware Resilience, Network Security, and Cloud Security.
- Good understanding of applied cryptography and secure protocols.
- Combination of passion for technical work and rigor at documenting the work done.
- Ability to manage complexity and make decisions with limited information or under uncertainty.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and confidence in being able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or similar.
- English: CEFR B2., * Full autonomy to perform technical work with little guidance.
