Job description
The Operational Technology System Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, continuously improving and renovating the global Operational Technology (OT) application landscape, with a strong focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
This role combines day-to-day operational support (60%) with system enhancement and new development activities (40%).
The OT System Analyst collaborates closely with global and local manufacturing teams, IT, and automation engineers to ensure stable, secure, and efficient production systems.
What you will do:
Operational Support (60%)
- Provide Level 2/3 support for MES and other OT applications across global manufacturing sites.
- Troubleshoot system incidents, identify root causes, and propose long-term corrective actions.
- Ensure availability and reliability of OT systems in alignment with production needs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
System Evolution & Development (40%)
- Participate in OT and MES projects as a subject-matter expert (SME), providing functional and technical expertise.
- Develop new features, enhancements, and integrations within the internal MES environment.
- Conduct system configuration, scripting, and light-to-moderate software development.
- Test system changes (functional and regression testing) prior to deployment.
- Facilitate integration and implementation of new software releases, patches, upgrades and data migrations.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Virtualization?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of MES functionalities following the ISA95 guidance and familiarity with OT environment (SCADA, PLC interactions, data collection, historian systems.
- Strong SQL skills, from modeling to complex query writing and optimization.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming in .NET and capability to create robust and efficient applications.
- Technical understanding of IT infrastructure (network, virtualization, containerization, security)
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical/food or regulated industries, including concepts like GxP, computer system validation lifecycle (CSV), and electronic records/signatures an asset.
- Good knowledge of testing methodologies and validation approaches.
- English fluent, French a strong asset
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
- Ability to travel up 10% to other sites in EMEA
