Technical Cyber Security Consultant

Are you a seasoned Cyber Security professional with expertise in secure design frameworks and risk-based standards? QBE is seeking a Cyber Security Consulting Lead to play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our IT change projects across cloud and on-premise environments. This is an exciting opportunity to lead security assurance, assessments, and advisory initiatives while collaborating with global teams to drive innovation and compliance., * Lead security assurance and advisory for IT and business projects globally, utilizing the NIST 800-53 cyber security framework.

• Partner with security architecture teams to define security patterns and embed appropriate controls within solutions.
• Develop non-functional security requirements and guide their integration into solution designs.
• Conduct security risk assessments, identify threats, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to address non-compliant processes and improve security posture.
• Contribute to strategic global and regional security initiatives, supporting deployment across EO and global teams.

• Strong expertise in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud platforms.
• Demonstrable experience with security standards such as ISO2700X, NIST800, PCI-DSS, and other risk-based frameworks.
• Proven ability to drive innovation, agility, and improved business outcomes in fast-paced environments.
• Experience working across diverse service models, time zones, and multicultural teams.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber/Information Security, IT, Management, or Business (or equivalent work experience).
• Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CRISC, CISM, or SABSA are highly regarded.
