Job description

We are a modern, cloud-focused accountancy practice based in Tewkesbury seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Digital Accountant to join our growing team.

This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio alongside firm-provided clients. The position is ideal for someone confident working in a digital environment and passionate about delivering high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of small business and sole trader clients
  • Prepare year-end accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns
  • Review bookkeeping and ensure accurate digital records
  • Prepare and submit Self Assessment and Corporation Tax returns
  • Provide proactive tax and business advice
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and video calls
  • Support Making Tax Digital compliance and cloud adoption
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to maintain service standards

Bringing Your Own Clients

We welcome candidates who wish to introduce their own clients, with:

  • Full administrative and technical support

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or qualified by experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in UK accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of cloud software (Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of UK tax compliance
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
