Job description
We are a team of engineers experienced both in the design and manufacture of driving simulators, as well as their use in vehicle development. We develop, deliver and support outstanding, ground-breaking simulators and motion generators that support the engineering that leads to winning performance on the track., Support the development, deployment and monitoring of Dynisma Motion Generators for industry leading customers. Working across the business on a wide range of projects to build great IT systems and improve security, agency and pace of development., * Specify, source and manage specialist IT hardware for applications such as:
- Realtime simulation hardware (e.g. speedgoat, linux, twincat)
- Image generator graphics PCs
- Edge computing hardware
- Compute resource
- Servers
- Improve quality across all existing specialist IT systems such as:
- Pipeline build agents
- Hardware in the loop testing systems
- Simulation compute resource
- Manage network configurations to facilitate secure, reliable performance of:
- Image generator graphics PCs
- Database and deployment services
- Package repositories
- Work with IT suppliers to design secure IT systems across multiple sites
- Support our use of modern software platforms and integrate to facilitate fast, robust software development and deployment:
- Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines
- Jira and confluence
- Docker
- Manage software licensing (flexnet)
- Work with customers to safely and quickly integrate our Motion Generators and accompanying IT hardware on site.
Requirements
- Enthusiasm and ownership
- Experience managing IT infrastructure
- Understanding of network security and edge device management
- Experience with Microsoft services such as Office 365, Azure Portal and Azure Active Directory
- Experience with software platforms and services for continuous deployment such as Gitlab, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps, An enthusiastic character that is keen to work in a dynamic and high paced environment. Able to take a pragmatic view on balancing workload and prioritising based on business demands. Needs to have an excellent eye for detail and pride themselves on high quality workmanship. Self-starter an able to work independently and manage their own workload.
