Junior AWS Platform Engineer (SC Cleared)

A high-profile public sector programme is seeking multiple Junior Platform Engineers to support the development and maintenance of a secure, scalable AWS hosting platform. This role is well suited to engineers operating at SFIA Level 3, offering a valuable opportunity to work alongside senior engineers and architects in a structured delivery environment., * Assist in the development of AWS infrastructure using Terraform

• Support CI/CD pipeline execution and deployments
• Configure and maintain cloud networking components including ALB, WAF, and Transit Gateway
• Contribute to observability tooling implementation (eg CloudWatch, Prometheus)
• Collaborate with the wider engineering and platform team to ensure consistent and secure deployments

• Active SC clearance (mandatory - candidates without this cannot be considered)
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services
• Working knowledge of Terraform
• Basic understanding of containerisation (eg ECS, Docker)
• Familiarity with core networking and cloud security concepts
• Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

• Exposure to AWS Lattice or equivalent service mesh technologies (eg Istio)
• Previous experience working in public sector or secure environments

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with 1-5 years of experience to gain structured delivery experience on a large-scale government programme.
