Enterprise Architect, Architecture, Defence & Security

Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility as a consultant will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset, but could include and may require you to:

• Develop and maintain the organization's enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technology requirements and solutions.
• Assess the current technology landscape, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and propose architectural improvements.
• Define and document enterprise architecture standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and interoperability across systems and applications.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of technology platforms, frameworks, and tools that align with the enterprise architecture strategy.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams in aligning their solution architectures with the enterprise architecture standards and principles.
• Conduct architectural reviews to ensure compliance with architectural guidelines and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT leaders and business stakeholders to develop technology roadmaps and prioritize investments in line with business objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to assess technology solutions and make recommendations for integration into the enterprise architecture.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by exploring new technologies, conducting proof-of-concepts, and recommending innovative solutions.

All applicants must hold UK security clearance to DV level

Candidates will have hands on experience with one or more technologies relevant to these areas:

• degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar role, with a strong track record of defining and implementing enterprise architecture strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, MODAF, DODAF or similar frameworks and notation such as BPMN, Business Capability Modelling and ArchiMate.
• Proven experience of maximising the functionality of Enterprise Architecture tools e.g Sparx and Bizzdesign using viewpoints and traceability.
• Strong understanding of business processes, IT systems, and technology trends in the industry.
• Experience in defining and implementing enterprise-wide technology strategies and roadmaps aligned to business outcomes.
• Proficiency in assessing and selecting technology.
• Strong understanding of Defence architecture, data, and security policies.
