Job description
Join the Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear new build project, supporting the UK's Net Zero ambitions. The role sits in the Technical Directorate, ensuring effective configuration management across a large, complex engineering programme. Support delivery teams by applying and improving configuration management processes - including planning, identification, change control, status reporting and audits - to maintain technical clarity and control across the project., * Implement and maintain Configuration Management (CM) plans aligned to programme needs.
- Develop and improve CM procedures, standards, guidance, tools and forms.
- Identify and maintain configuration items and related information.
- Support stakeholders to establish baselines, manage configuration changes, maintain records, and plan audits.
- Administer change control processes and track changes through to closure.
- Produce Configuration Status Reports to inform decision-making.
- Deliver CM training to programme teams.
- Work with Information Management and Engineering Data teams to ensure CM requirements are built into systems and tools.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Product lifecycle management?, * Ability to coordinate cross-cutting engineering topics and apply procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication, accuracy, and team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.
- Understanding of engineering principles.
- Experience in configuration or engineering management.
Desirable
- Knowledge of CM standards.
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience on large multi-disciplinary engineering projects (HPC/EPR desirable).
- Familiarity with PLM tools and industry CM guidance.
- CM certification (e.g., CM2).
