Die Abteilung ,,IT Application Management" ist Teil der NEW YORKER IT mit dem Schwerpunkt Business- Applications, POS- Applications und Retail- Operations. Kernaufgabe der Abteilung ist es, die Prozesse unserer Filialen und Unternehmensstandorte optimal durch IT-Lösungen zu unterstützen. Dabei betreuen unsere Spezialisten über 140 Business Applications, nehmen Updates und Anpassungen vor und supporten unsere Mitarbeiter in 45 Ländern bei Problemen jeder Art.

Business Intelligence Application Manager (M/W/D)

DEIN JOB:

• Sicherstellen des Betriebs der Business Applications sowie Monitoring der ETL-Strecken und Administrieren der BI Systeme
• Planen, Steuern und Durchführen von BI Applikationsaktualisierungen
• Fachliches Beraten und Unterstützen der Anwender aus nahezu allen Fachbereichen des Unternehmens
• Fehleranalyse und -behebung, ebenso wie die Fehlerdokumentation
• Aufbauen einer Wissensdatenbank zu allen applikationsrelevanten (technischen) Informationen, Betriebsprozessen und -verfahren
• Mitarbeiten an qualitätssteigernden Projekten zur kontinuierlichen Entwicklung des Berichtswesens

DEIN PROFIL:

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossene IT-Ausbildung, ein abgeschlossenes Studium der Fachrichtung Informatik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Berufserfahrung als Application Manager bzw. in der Betreuung (Service, Support, Administration) von MS BI Applikationen, Zertifikate sind wünschenswert
• Gute Kenntnisse im MS BI Stack (MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
• Sicherer Umgang mit MS Windows Server-Betriebssystemen
• Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse erforderlich
• Selbstständiges und analytisches Arbeiten sowie eine hohe Eigenverantwortung
• Teamfähigkeit, Kommunikationsstärke und Hands-on-Mentalität

THAT'S THE JOB

• Pro-actively maintain and monitor our distributed infrastructure and data pipelines (Spark, Airflow), reacting promptly to errors and outages
• Drive the evolution of our data platform toward modern, scalable infrastructure
• Monitor and analyze runtime behavior, including runtimes, resource usage and error rates across all data science pipelines
• Participate in on-call rotations for platform reliability and incident response
• Implement and enforce logging and monitoring strategies to make pipeline runtime characteristics transparent
• Manage the data science development environment, installing and configuring required software and tools
• Work with data engineering, data science, network, and datacenter teams to optimize system boundaries
• Coordinate with suppliers and datacenter services to ensure hardware issues are fixed promptly
• Maintain operational documentation and share knowledge through code reviews and mentoring

THAT'S WHAT WE NEED

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or platform operations
• The willingness and ability to work in a team with strong communication and hands-on mentality
• The ability to work in a structured, independent and self-driven manner while aligning proactively with your team
• Strong programming skills with a keen eye on scalability and maintainability in Python and Bash
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong Linux system administration skills
• Understanding of big data infrastructure, networking, distributed systems and working with data
• Languages: German (B1+, conversational) and English (fluent)

Nice to Have: Spark, Cloudera/Hadoop, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
