Job description

We are now looking for an Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to play a key role in designing and delivering scalable data and analytics solutions that support decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on technical role with real enterprise impact - bridging data engineering, analytics platforms, and software-enabled solutions used by teams across the organisation. The Role You will design, build and maintain enterprise-level data solutions that are reliable, secure, and performant. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT, and digital teams, you'll translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions that enable insight, automation, and operational efficiency. This role suits someone who enjoys owning solutions end-to-end - from data ingestion and modelling through to analytics delivery and automation. Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade databases and data models to support reporting, analytics, and internal applications
  • Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from multiple business systems
  • Develop and maintain reusable SQL queries, views, stored procedures and automation scripts
  • Deliver high-quality Power BI datasets, dashboards, and reports, ensuring performance, reliability, and usability
  • Configure and manage Power BI gateways, refresh schedules, and data access controls
  • Monitor and improve data pipeline and platform performance, availability, and scalability
  • Apply best practices in data governance, security, documentation, and standardisation
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and IT teams to ensure solutions are robust and well supported

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scripting?, * Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)

  • Proven experience designing and optimising databases and complex queries
  • Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports, datasets, and data models
  • Experience building ETL pipelines using Python or similar scripting languages (e.g., Python, Django, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, performance tuning, and data quality principles
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve data, performance, and reporting issues

Desirable

  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS or similar)
  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and enterprise data architectures
  • Experience automating data workflows and deployments
  • Exposure to web technologies used in data-enabled applications (e.g. JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
  • Understanding of data governance, access control, and compliance in enterprise environments
