Job description

We're obsessed with making hard work pay off, for our people, our customers, and the world around us. As a Fortune 500 company and a leading AI platform for managing people, money, and agents, we're shaping the future of work so teams can reach their potential and focus on what matters most. The minute you join, you'll feel it. Not just in the products we build, but in how we show up for each other. Our culture is rooted in integrity, empathy, and shared enthusiasm. We're in this together, tackling big challenges with bold ideas and genuine care. We look for curious minds and courageous collaborators who bring sun-drenched optimism and drive. Whether you're building smarter solutions, supporting customers, or creating a space where everyone belongs, you'll do meaningful work with Workmates who've got your back. In return, we'll give you the trust to take risks, the tools to grow, the skills to develop and the support of a company invested in you for the long haul. So, if you want to inspire a brighter work day for everyone, including yourself, you've found a match in Workday, and we hope to be a match for you too.

About the Team As a member of our UKI Solution Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's applications to prospects and customers alike. It is this team's job to bring the value of Workday solutions to life and showcase how the world of work can be transformed. Along with working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.

About the Role

As an Enterprise Architect within our Solution Consulting team, you are the architectural backbone of the client evaluation process and sales cycles. You don't just explain software; you design the future state for global enterprises and can articulate and differentiate the Workday architecture to both technical and business buyer personas.

Expertise of our Enterprise Architects

We expect our Enterprise Architects to bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and transformative business outcomes through the following:

  • Architectural Storytelling: Demonstrate our industry-leading delivery model and highlight the clear advantages of SaaS over legacy HCM/Financial systems.
  • Technical Trusted Advisor: Address complex technical and compliance requirements throughout the sales cycle, building trust with both CTOs and end-users.
  • Future-Proofing: Actively contribute to discussions on the "next wave" of innovation, including AI/ML, enterprise integration strategies, and evolving global security standards.
  • Data and AI Architecture: Ensuring data integrity and scalability across the enterprise.
  • Integrations: Designing seamless ecosystems within complex IT landscapes.
  • Security: Navigating the intricacies of global compliance and data protection., With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Requirements

  • The Technical Specialist: You have a "builder" mindset and a deep understanding of how enterprise-grade cloud platforms function., * Exceptional presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
  • Expertise in technical areas such as cloud architecture, integrations, data security, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in Gen AI tools, LLMs and Agent-building tools, with a passion for technical innovation.
  • Existing knowledge of Workday application and technical architecture is beneficial, but if you have experience on our competitor's systems or other cloud applications, we'll train you on Workday
  • Ability to create and present technical architectures
  • A customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering tailored solutions.
  • A fast learner who shows adaptability in fast moving organisations
  • An innate desire to showcase the role of technology in achieving business outcomes, * 4+years in a Technical consultant role
  • Fluency in English

About the company

While a broad technical foundation is required, we believe the best Enterprise Architects are those who pursue their passions. We provide the autonomy for you to lean into your strengths and evolve your role. This could be through deep technical specialisation, such as becoming a subject matter expert in AI, integrations or global security, or through Thought Leadership where you represent Workday on the regional/global stage through public speaking, industry conferences, and white papers.
