Job description

  • Deliver online and in person training to external users on effective software use
  • Take a consultative approach, understanding client processes and tailoring guidance
  • Support new clients throughout onboarding, including initial setup, data migration coordination, and training
  • Create and update training materials, user guides, and knowledgebase articles
  • Provide high quality telephone and email support
  • Coordinate go-live and training plans with clients and internal teams
  • Test new features from a user perspective and provide feedback to improve usability

We are a well established business management solutions company, and due to continued expansion, we are looking for a confident, engaging Software Trainer to join our training team. You'll help new clients get on board with our software by delivering structured training, offering clear guidance and support as they switch from their previous systems to our software products.

Changing systems can be challenging for businesses and their staff, so the ability to empathise with users, manage expectations, and advise on best practice is essential.

About You

As a Software Trainer, you'll welcome new clients, guide them through new processes, and help them feel confident in using our software. Because you'll be their key point of support during training and onboarding, a professional, supportive manner and the ability to build trust quickly are crucial.

This role will suit someone who is:

  • Experienced in delivering clear, engaging software or systems training
  • Confident working with users at all levels, from frontline staff to senior leaders
  • Able to take a consultative approach and tailor training to individual client needs
  • Calm, reassuring, and comfortable helping users through system change
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to support multiple clients
  • A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail and a passion for helping others succeed

Whether you have years of client facing training experience or are ready for the next step in your training career, your attitude, professionalism, and commitment to outstanding customer experience matter most., * 3+ years' experience delivering software or systems training (ideally B2B)

  • Experience training external clients
  • Confident communicator with users at all levels
  • Strong customer service skills and effective time management
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of digital tools such as CRMs, call-logging tools, or business applications
  • Logical, problem solving mindset with a willingness to learn
  • Adaptability and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Experience in the automotive or motor trade sector (desirable but not essential)

Salary will be dependent on skills and experience. This role is office based and not suitable for remote working.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Due to our slightly rural location, your own transport is required. We are close to the M1 / A5 / A43 and easily commutable from Towcester, Northampton, Wellingborough, Milton Keynes, Daventry, Brackley, Banbury, and surrounding areas.
