Job description

  • You are the technology expert and technical lead for high-performance vision projects, driving innovation, advancing the team, and making strategic technical decisions, that ensure the success of our research and industry projects.

  • Through your experience and know-how of production processes and your networks you identify opportunities for new projects, contribute to project initialization and development deploying novel technologies to the manufacturing industry.

  • Furthermore, you support the team in positioning research competencies and in building and maintaining client networks.

  • You select the right approaches to scale our technology from rapid spike development to systems that run around the clock in industrial facilities.

  • You also share your expertise with junior developers, offering strategic guidance in customer interaction, system requirements analysis and system design.

  • With your interest in the newest technological developments, you advance our research projects and help establish new business models and concepts in the field of advanced vision systems.

  • Driven by a practical-problem solving approach, you lead projects teams to develop industrial solutions that excel in performance, reliability and innovation.

Requirements

  • Completed technical studies (at least MSc.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant industrial project management experience, with a high level of commitment and proven ability to work in a team, preferably in a similar field.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently with clients and project managers, and to guide a development team.
  • Experience in customer relationship and business development is of advantage.
  • Strong networks in the field of machine vision or quality inspection is of advantage.
  • Knowledge of sensing and camera technology as well as factory automation of advantage.
  • Good command of English and German (both required).

Benefits & conditions

The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 69.342,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience.
