Job description
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in Desktop Platforms & Release Engineering to lead and optimize our build, test, and release processes for clinical desktop software. Embrace a pivotal role focusing on regulated Windows software, ensuring functionality in stringent, security-restricted environments., As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will embrace a Principal-level scope, holding accountability for setting standards and making crucial technical decisions. You will become the go-to authority for CI/CD and release engineering, significantly shaping our desktop software landscape while collaborating with teams globally., * Own and govern CI/CD, build systems, and release engineering across our Desktop Software ecosystem
- Define, standardize, and implement reproducible, containerized Windows build environments and dependency management
- Design and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines integrating physical hardware, drivers, and firmware
- Unify fragmented pipelines into a compliant and auditable platform
- Manage release engineering end-to-end, including versioning, signing, packaging, validation, and promotion
- Ensure comprehensive traceability from commit to clinical distribution with secure practices
- Serve as the escalation and decision-making authority for CI/CD and hardware-automation issues
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Quality, Regulatory, Cybersecurity, and delivery teams
Requirements
We require a dedicated professional with extensive experience in managing CI/CD and release platforms across diverse teams or products.
- Extensive expertise in Windows build ecosystems (.NET, MSBuild, CMake, MSVC)
- Experience with reproducible, containerized Windows build environments
- Proven ability to deliver software in regulated, constrained environments
- Hands-on experience integrating hardware in CI processes (USB, BLE, drivers, firmware)
- Strong communication and leadership skills for influencing without direct authority
- Prior experience in regulated industries like medical devices, automotive, or aerospace is beneficial
