Senior Software Engineer (Platform)

Our platform enriches expertly-curated short videos - captured before, during, and after work - with AI-powered automated workflows. We own the world's largest dataset of this kind, enabling field users and customers to make smarter, more efficient decisions about their assets and operations.

Our purpose is to deliver transformative commercial and environmental outcomes, helping global clients across utilities, telecoms, retail and energy improve pricing accuracy, speed up delivery, ensure safety, and maintain compliance.

What you'll do:

• Work on tickets related to new features, improvements and the ongoing operations of our product.
• Write software to a high standard of maintainability and security in accordance with our coding standards.
• Implement automated tests, continual deployment, and other appropriate techniques to achieve reliable software.
• Maintain a high level of professional skill. Keep up to date with relevant technologies and industry directions.
• Proactively work with our product team to understand requirements and future product directions. Implement features in accordance with these commercial priorities.
• Collaborate with other team members and other teams on the design, implementation and operation of our product.
• Mentor other engineers and help with interviewing and recruitment.

Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelors/Masters in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.

• 5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience working in Python developing web APIs
• Experience working on a cloud or SaaS product
• Must be an excellent hands-on developer experienced with web API architecture (e.g. REST).
• Distributed system availability/reliability/performance design experience.
• Message queues (e.g SQS).
• Databases (e.g. postgresql).
• Experience with SaaS/Cloud technologies e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloudformation, Terraform, etc.
• Automated testing, we use unit and other automated tests extensively
