Job description
Cirrus Nexus UK is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architecture Tooling Lead for a high-profile financial services client. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on enterprise architecture platform administration, automation, optimisation, and knowledge transfer during a tooling transition. You will take ownership of the EA tooling environment, provide technical leadership, and work closely with client teams to build long-term capability and platform sustainability., Enterprise Architecture Platform Leadership
- Administer, configure, and optimise enterprise architecture tooling platforms (e.g. BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio)
- Manage platform environments (production, test, development), deployments, and server configurations
- Perform upgrades, patching, and version control in line with change management processes
- Configure metamodels, element types, relationships, and properties aligned with ArchiMate standards
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimisation improvements
Automation & Reporting
- Design and develop automation scripts using platform APIs and scripting languages
- Create custom viewpoints, dashboards, and reporting solutions
- Build automated reporting workflows, including strategic extracts and PowerPoint generation
- Maintain version control, testing, and documentation for automation assets
Knowledge Transfer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the technical SME for EA tooling capabilities
- Deliver structured knowledge transfer and mentoring to client teams
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, and business stakeholders
- Liaise with tooling vendors and manage technical escalations when required
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and operating procedures
- Create training materials, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides
- Establish documentation standards and reusable templates
Requirements
Do you have experience in TOGAF?, Technical Skills
- Strong experience with enterprise architecture tools (BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio or similar: Sparx EA, MEGA HOPEX, Ardoq, LeanIX)
- Scripting and automation experience (JavaScript, Python, or platform-specific languages)
- Solid knowledge of EA frameworks and standards (ArchiMate, TOGAF, Zachman)
- Experience with API integrations, data mapping, and transformations
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms (SSO, Active Directory, LDAP)
- Platform administration experience (client-server architecture, environments, versioning)
Professional Experience
- 5+ years' experience in EA tooling, platform administration, or related technical roles
- Proven experience delivering automation, custom integrations, or platform transitions
- Experience working in financial services or regulated environments (preferred)
- Consulting experience with client-facing delivery and knowledge transfer
Desirable Experience
- Hands-on experience with BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio and Horizzon Server
- BiZZdesign, ArchiMate, or TOGAF certifications
- Experience with Planview or enterprise portfolio management tools
- Exposure to OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure as code, * Which Enterprise Architecture tools are you familiar with and how many years experience do you have
