Platform & Cloud Solutions Architect

As a Platform & Cloud Solutions Architect/Engineer your aim is to design architecture for Platform-as-a-service products using Open Source and Cloud tools and implement them. Therefore, we are looking for Architects / DevOps Engineers / Platform Engineers / Developers of different levels with different focus areas: Cloud, Distributed Systems, Orchestration, Monitoring, Automation.

Activities

• As part of our team, you will support our clients in the successful development and implementation of complex Big Data solutions.
• You will use open source and cloud technologies to provide scalable and cost-efficient solutions to our customers.
• You use your DevOps knowledge and scripting skills to provide automation and Infrastructure as Code approach.
• Advise our customers in the areas of system architecture, monitoring and security concepts.
• You are in regular contact with customers and stakeholders, and you communicate efficiently and professionally.

• Successfully completed studies in (business) computer science, mathematics, physics or a similar qualification
• Basic experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and modern development practices (CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, Agile, etc.)
• Experience with one or more major public cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
• Experience in containerization technologies and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Mesos, etc.)
• Experience with different distributed technologies (e.g. Spark, S3, Snowflake, DynamoDB, CockroachDB, HDFS, Hive, etc.)
• Experienced with Java / Go / Python / Scala / other languages
• Proficiency in English
