Job description
EBC Group are currently recruiting for an Installs engineer to join an exciting and growing Installs team, delivering technical IT solutions into both new and existing customers within EBC Group's portfolio of clients.
As part of our Installs team, you will be responsible for the delivery, installation, configuration, and implementation of networking equipment, end-user devices, and related IT products and services. Working as part of the Technical Services team, the role ensures that customer deployments are completed efficiently, professionally, and to a high technical standard.
This position requires good technical capability, excellent customer-facing skills, and a methodical approach to installation and troubleshooting.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment.
- Install, configure, and commission networking equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
- Perform on-site and remote installations in line with project scope and technical specifications.
- Conduct pre-installation testing and quality assurance checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connectivity, and configuration issues during deployment.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Service Desk, and customers to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Provide basic user guidance and handover following installation.
- Maintain accurate installation records, asset documentation, and configuration details.
- Adhere to company standards, health and safety regulations, and customer site requirements.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Experience installing and supporting networking equipment and end-user devices.

- Basic Microsoft Windows Server understanding
- Microsoft 365 / Azure understanding

- Intune policy design
- Desktop OS & Office Applications.
- LAN/WAN Networking (Firewall / Switching / Routing) Understanding
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with basic cabling and rack installation.
Competencies and Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT Installs/Support desk role within a Managed Services environment.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Self-sufficient with strong organisational management skills, including ability to log & manage time effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Keen troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset, providing proactive solutions to business issues.

- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
