Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to support our Agile development teams in delivering high-quality products efficiently and predictably. The Scrum Master will act as a collaborative leader, guiding and supporting the team in Agile practices, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is critical in driving team effectiveness, collaboration, and alignment with business objectives.
This is a full-time position (Monday to Thursday - we don't work Fridays), reporting to the Lead Engineer.
The Role:
As a Scum Master at digiLab, you will be responsible for:
- Serving as Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional Agile teams
- Facilitating Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Coaching team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement
- Removing impediments that hinder team progress and productivity
- Shielding the team from external disruptions and scope creep
- Partnering closely with Product Ownership & Product Management to ensure well-groomed and prioritised backlogs
- Tracking and communicating team metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, etc.)
- Identifying opportunities to improve team performance and delivery predictability
- Promoting transparency, accountability, and self-organisation within teams
- Supporting Agile transformation initiatives across the organisation

Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment
- Background in software development or technical environments
- Strong understanding of Scrum framework, Agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle
- Experience facilitating cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally)
- Scrum certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent)
In addition, some 'nice to haves' are:
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams
- Experience in scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, etc.)
- Advanced Scrum certification (PSM II, CSP-SM, SAFe Agilist)
- Experience in coaching multiple teams simultaneously, As an ambitious, rapidly-growing start-up, we're looking for proactive, adaptable people who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our standard working hours are 9.00-5.30pm, Monday to Thursday, though some flexibility outside these hours may be required to meet business needs.
