Senior Application Engineer

My client is looking for a Senior Application Engineer in Marin, Switzerland.

The role:

• Train the FAE team and direct customer support
• Advanced wireless application development (Bluetooth Low energy including hardware software and test aspects).
• Define application-specific PSP (demo kit, specific SDK, and demo cases)
• Competition analysis - benchmarking
• Interface with business unit R&D in coordination with the PM to develop specific features needed for advanced use cases.
• Support deployment of advanced application use cases
• Definition and progress reviews with the Product Manager.
• Reporting: Weekly, monthly, and quarterly report as required
• Team Meetings: Weekly, monthly, and quarterly report as required

The Requirements:

• Experience of advanced applications development and integration for specific hardware platforms.
• Firmware development experience for radio controllers and stack-based embedded systems.
• Hardware design skills with electronic lab and troubleshooting experiences.
• Specific knowledge related to wireless protocols: BLE, 802.15.4, and proprietary protocols.
• Strong ownership with troubleshooting ability
• Teamwork spirit with a cooperative attitude
• Able to articulate required information convincingly, clearly & smartly to the audience
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to manage customer-facing situations

The Skills:

• Computer engineering degree from any university
• Minimum 8 years experience in embedded software development
• Software development language: C/C++, Assembly, Python
• Knowledge about RTOS or equivalent real-time task scheduler
• Write application code to test driver development (radio, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, Timers, RTC...)
