Job description
As a (Senior) Analytics Engineer at Taxfix, your mission is to lead the design and development of robust, scalable data models that power our analytical applications. You will transform raw data into actionable insights, empowering our teams to make informed decisions. While you will own the data models within your domain, you will also help shape the broader evolution of Analytics Engineering at Taxfix.
Your specific challenge is to build and enhance our Marketing Measurement capabilities supporting various markets and products. You will collaborate closely with MarTech and Marketing teams to unify these capabilities and integrate them with our central solutions. Your work will directly influence marketing strategy and budget allocation, enabling Taxfix to acquire new customers efficiently.
Your team:
Our Data Analytics teams at Taxfix are domain-focused. You will join our Marketing Analytics team, working closely with Marketing across multiple brands. Our Analytics Engineers operate in a decentralized way within their teams but come together through the Analytics Engineering Guild, where we share best practices and solve problems collaboratively.
Our tech stack includes Snowflake, dbt Cloud, Looker, Segment.io, Singular, Airbyte, Airflow, Claude Code and other tools. We are looking for a pragmatic problem-solver who thrives on getting things done while maintaining a keen eye for detail. You approach challenges with precision and care, ensuring that your solutions are not only effective but also robust and scalable. You should be comfortable advocating for data modeling best practices and helping us continuously improve our data ecosystem., * Build trusted marketing measurement foundations: design and evolve scalable dimensional models for marketing performance across markets and products, aligned with tracking, attribution, and privacy constraints.
- Ship production-grade dbt pipelines: develop and optimize dbt models with strong engineering hygiene (documentation, modularity, version control) and keep costs and performance in check.
- Ensure data reliability: implement tests and monitoring (freshness, volume, schema, reconciliation), and drive fast, pragmatic resolution of data issues.
- Enable self-serve analytics: build and maintain Looker Explores (and a small set of key dashboards when needed) so teams can answer questions with confidence.
- Own delivery end-to-end: scope problems with stakeholders, translate them into data products, deliver iteratively, and drive adoption through clear definitions and enablement.
- Raise the bar across Analytics Engineering: contribute to standards via the Analytics Engineering Guild through patterns, reviews, and shared best practices.
- Use and improve AI-assisted workflows: leverage tools like Claude Code and agentic approaches to accelerate modeling, testing, documentation, and debugging while maintaining high quality and reproducibility., * A chance to do meaningful, people-centric work with an international team of passionate professionals.
- Holistic well-being with free mental health coaching sessions and yoga.
- A monthly allowance to spend on an extensive range of services that you can use and roll over as flexibly as you like.
- Employee stock options for all employees-because everyone deserves to benefit from the success they help to create.
- 30 annual vacation days and flexible working hours.
- Work from abroad for up to six weeks every year. Just align with your team, and then enjoy your trip.
- Plenty of opportunities to socialise as a team. In addition to internal tech meetups, our international team hosts regular get-togethers-virtually and in person when possible.
- Free tax declaration filing, of course, through the Taxfix app-and internal support for all personal tax-related questions.
- Have a four-legged friend in your life? We're happy to have dogs join us in the office.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, * Experience level: you're a strong mid-level or senior Analytics Engineer (typically 2+ years relevant experience), and you can independently deliver high-quality analytical data products.
- SQL + modeling: advanced SQL and strong dimensional modeling skills.
- dbt expertise: hands-on experience with dbt (Cloud or Core), including testing, documentation, and production workflows.
- Data quality mindset: proven ability to design practical monitoring and quality checks that catch issues early and make failures actionable.
- Marketing measurement knowledge: experience in a B2C environment across web and app, with comfort around tracking concepts, attribution, and privacy implications.

- AI/agentic workflows: proven experience using LLMs/coding agents/agentic workflows in daily engineering work, with strong validation habits and quality guardrails.
- Collaboration: strong communication skills and stakeholder management, able to explain trade-offs and align on priorities.
