Job description

Looking to work with cutting-edge engineering software? What if you could work with all of them? We're looking for a software developer to help expand our 25+ existing partnerships in the mechanical engineering domain, ranging from the biggest players to the latest start-ups and everyone in between.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

At Synera, we build an agentic automation platform for engineers that helps them create better products faster. Our software connects engineering tools, data, and people, enabling teams to automate complex workflows and focus on what really matters: solving engineering problems.

We're looking for an Integration Developer who truly understands engineering. This role sits at the intersection of partner communication and software development: You will own the development of add-ins and integrations within our automation platform. You'll join our versatile Marketplace team - Andrew, Niklas, Mark and Baha - working with a wide range of technologies, from CAD tools to simulation solvers to PLM systems and AI tools. You will collaborate closely with partners, customers, product managers, and colleagues, translating complex technical requirements into robust, user-friendly solutions.

We move fast, learn from each other, and share responsibility for delivering clean, maintainable solutions.

What a week at Synera could look like:

  • Monday: You join the weekly all-hands to align on company updates, followed by the developer meeting to share progress, questions, and technical insights.
  • Tuesday: After the morning stand-up, you dive into customer calls to understand their integration requirements.
  • Wednesday (biweekly): You do backlog refinement and team retrospective to clarify tasks, estimate effort, and improve workflow.
  • Thursday (biweekly): Sprint review day - you demo the past two weeks' work to internal stakeholders and align on feedback. Afterwards, sprint planning defines the next sprint's scope and clarifies any remaining questions.
  • Friday: You join a customer call to explain add-ins and public API usage.

The rest of the week's time is protected focus time: writing code, reviewing Bitbucket pull requests and pushing real value to production.

  • In 6 months:
  • You deliver customer-facing value regularly through integration projects.
  • In 12 months:
  • You have a growing ownership of complex integrations, you mentor peers, and contribute to architecture and product decisions., Even if you don't meet these criteria perfectly but believe you have lots to bring to the role, we encourage you to apply. We know it's tough, but please keep in mind that you don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role.

Requirements

Do you have experience in ERP systems?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * You resonate with Synera's Core Values - they're central to how we work, and we'll explore them together in your first interview.

  • You have a deep understanding of developing add-ins, plugins or integrations for complex software systems.
  • You managed several integration projects with external customers and managed stakeholders as a Software Engineer being a member of a SCRUM team.
  • You are familiar with PLM and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
  • You bring strong proficiency in C# and C++, with solid algorithmic and logical thinking skills.
  • You are a strong communicator in English with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ideally, your background is in software engineering with exposure to CAE domains.
