Robotics Test Automation Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. This role is contributing to the Sevensense by ABB team as part of ABB Robotics in Spain and Switzerland. You will work on extending and strengthening the infrastructure that supports continuous validation of our VSLAM-based products in the field of autonomous mobile robotics. The goal is to make testing more reliable, repeatable, and scalable across development and release cycles.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Developing, maintaining and scaling automated test execution pipelines across virtual and HIL environments.
• Ensuring automated regression tests run reliably and reproducibly as part of the nightly and release validation processes.
• Implementing CI/CD integrations, infrastructure improvements, and job orchestration features to increase testing and release throughput.
• Supporting the Robotic Systems team in extending coverage and improving feedback loops for developers.

Do you have experience in Test automation?, * 3+ years of experience in test automation, DevOps, or software test engineering

• Software engineering skills for test harness development, automation tooling, with Python or related languages.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing of physical devices is a plus.
• Advanced skills with CI/CD systems and complex pipelines, Gitlab CI or similar, including runner infrastructure (cloud, bare-metal, HIL).
• Familiarity with Linux and Debian-based distributions.
• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics or a related field
• You are at ease communicating in English
