Job description

As an IT Network Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, analysing and enhancing on-site network performance. You'll handle day-to-day troubleshooting, implement network changes, support high-availability environments, and contribute to continuous improvement across a growing, enterprise-grade network estate., * Monitor and support enterprise LAN, WAN and Wireless infrastructure

  • Maintain network hardware and software, providing on-site technical assistance
  • Implement configuration changes in line with change control and security processes
  • Support high-availability and clustered solutions across multiple sites
  • Monitor data centres and virtual environments
  • Assist with communication systems and disaster recovery procedures
  • Provide support to service desk teams as required
  • Produce and update technical documentation
  • Support wider infrastructure projects as directed

Requirements

Do you have experience in Virtualization?, You'll bring strong hands-on experience supporting Cisco-based networks within large or industrial settings. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing incidents, and delivering solutions under pressure.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience supporting large Cisco enterprise networks
  • Strong background in L2/L3 switching and Cisco-centric infrastructure
  • Experience with firewalls, wireless technologies, access points and controllers
  • Knowledge of network design and architecture
  • Understanding of virtualisation (e.g. Cisco UCS, VMware)
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles

  • Checkpoint firewalls
  • IPSEC VPN (remote access & site-to-site)
  • Cisco ISE
  • F5 Load Balancers
