Job description
As a Mobile Engineer, you will build and evolve mobile experiences used by customers across the world. You'll design and deliver high-quality, secure, and performant Android applications that power a fast-growing fintech platform.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You'll work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and other Mobile Engineers to ship polished features, improve reliability and performance, and help shape the future of our Android architecture in a collaborative startup environment.
How You'll Contribute
- Build High-Quality Apps: Design and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable Android applications using Kotlin.
- Deliver Exceptional UX: Collaborate with Product and Design to implement intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces.
- Ensure Code Quality: Write clean, testable code, participate in code reviews, and uphold strong engineering standards.
- Optimise Performance: Debug, profile, and continuously improve application performance, stability, and responsiveness.
- Integrate Systems: Work with internal services and external APIs to deliver reliable, end-to-end mobile features.
- Support Team Growth: Contribute to technical discussions, share best practices, and support the growth of the mobile engineering team.
Requirements

- Continuous Learner: You stay current with Android frameworks, architectural patterns, and emerging technologies.
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience building Android applications using Kotlin.
- Deep knowledge of Android SDK, UI principles, and best practices.
- Experience with modern Android architecture patterns (e.g. MVVM, Clean Architecture).
- Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON.
- Familiarity with third-party libraries and Android tooling.
- Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle, including testing and release.
- Experience publishing and maintaining Android apps in the Play Store.
