What you will do

As a Senior Hardware Engineer , you will support the design and development of class-leading Condition-Based Maintenance systems and products for electrical utilities and industrial customers. You will apply strong fundamentals in both analog and digital electronics and contribute across the full electronic product development lifecycle.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, and test engineers. You will operate within an Agile development environment using Scrum, contributing to the delivery of critical, customer-facing solutions., Design and develop electronic hardware using development boards, analysis, and simulation tools

Create schematics and PCB layout designs

Verify designs against requirements and ensure all acceptance criteria are met

Analyse technical issues and identify robust alternative solutions

Ensure features, issues, and test results are documented in compliance with internal processes

Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and test engineers to deliver complete product solutions

Support transition to production, including failure analysis and issue resolution

Support existing products throughout their lifecycle, including sustaining and improvement activities

Requirements

Do you have experience in TCP/IP?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong technical judgement, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative development environment., Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Professional experience in hardware engineering

Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously

End-to-end experience across the electronic product development lifecycle

Technical experience including: Analog and digital circuit design

Schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium Designer preferred)

Prototype design verification and validation

Use of laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators)

Development of comprehensive test procedures

Sensor interfacing and data acquisition

Strong documentation skills and proficiency with MS Office
