Within Global Data Tech Platforms, our mission is to define, develop, and enable a modular, scalable, and instantiable Data Tech Platform that can be adopted across Santander's geographies, accelerating value creation while ensuring consistency, governance and operational robustness.
The Oversight, Adoption & Operating Model area plays a critical transversal role, ensuring that capabilities are effectively adopted by countries, aligned with global product and tech strategies.
As Data Tech Platform Governance & Business Support Manager, you will be a key enabler of the global adoption and sustainable operation of Santander's Data Tech Platform. You will act as a bridge between global platform teams and local unit organizations, ensuring that platform capabilities are deployed, adopted and evolved in a structured, coordinated and value-driven way across the Group.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Platform Adoption & Business Support
- Drive the adoption of Data Tech Platform capabilities across countries.
- Act as a central point of coordination between global platform teams and local units, aligning expectations, timelines and dependencies.
- Support countries throughout their adoption journey, facilitating follow-ups, workshops to ensure smooth integration.
- Facilitate communication across multiple stakeholders, ensuring information flows clearly between global teams, units, and senior management.
Platform Oversight & Operating Model
- Contribute to the governance of the Data Tech Platform lifecycle, ensuring that new capabilities change in a controlled and coordinated manner.
- Track platform roadmaps, releases and dependencies, ensuring transparency and alignment across global and local teams.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and architecture to ensure alignment between operating model and platform evolution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in technology-driven environments, ideally within large, complex organizations.
- Proven experience working with data platforms and cloud-based ecosystems, supporting global or multi-country initiatives.
- Strong background in platform governance, adoption, operating models or program-level oversight roles.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across geographies, functions and seniority levels.
Hard Skills
- Solid understanding of data platform ecosystems, including cloud environments and data architecture concepts (e.g., Azure, AWS, Databricks or similar).
- Strong experience in backlog coordination, roadmap tracking, dependency management and cross-team alignment. Analytical skills to identify risks, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities across complex initiatives.
- Ability to structure complex information and present it clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of operating models for data and technology platforms, including governance structures, roles and responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Agile certifications are highly valued.
