Job description
- Develop and maintain software for advanced research instruments at the intersection of laser physics, microfluidics, and biomedical applications
- Build and optimize high-throughput pipelines for data acquisition, processing, and analysis
- Design and integrate control software for laboratory equipment, including: lasers and optical components, microfluidic systems and automation robots, and measurement and sensor systems
- Extend and refactor existing C/C++/LabVIEW/Python codebases to improve performance, robustness, and usability
- Document software architecture, interfaces, and workflows; support technical documentation for regulatory and quality purposes
Requirements
Do you have experience in Signal processing?, * Completed degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- Hands-on experience in software development for scientific or technical applications
- Solid programming skills in: C / C++, Python, and LabVIEW (or strong willingness to learn)
- Experience with: high-throughput data acquisition and signal processing, hardware interfacing (e.g., DAQ devices, motion controllers, control units), control algorithms and feedback control loops
- Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Independent, precise, and structured working style with a solution-oriented mindset
- Enjoy working in a small, international, multidisciplinary team; strong communication skills
- High intrinsic motivation to innovate at the interface of physics, engineering, and medicine
- Very good command of English; German is a plus
