Job description
As part of an Agile team, you'll work closely with the core product team to introduce new features, optimize testing, and continuously improve the user experience. While we use a Go/React/TypeScript stack, we don't expect you to know everything upfront. What matters most is your ability to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-moving environment. What you'll be doing You will work as part of an Agile team to design, develop, and maintain the common GUI. Together you'll ensure it delivers both technical excellence and an outstanding user experience. Your day-to-day activities typically include:
- Building and refining the GUI using React and TypeScript, with a focus on performance, usability, and modern design principles.
- Developing back-end services in Go, ensuring seamless integration between the front-end and back-end components.
- Collaborating with your team to optimize testing environments (using tools like Jest and Cypress) and improve our CI/CD pipelines.
- Working with SQLite3 and relational databases, optimizing queries, and ensuring data integrity.
- Automating workflows and processes using Unix shell, Python, or Perl to improve efficiency.
- Modernizing legacy components of the GUI, ensuring they align with our evolving tech stack.
Requirements
We're not expecting you to check every box; what's important to us is your mindset, experience, and willingness to learn and grow. Here's what we think will set you up for success:
- Front-End Skills: At least 5 years of experience with React, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as Next.js.
- Back-End Skills: Familiarity with Go (Golang), particularly in building RESTful APIs.
- Database Experience: Hands-on work with SQLite3 or other relational databases.
- Testing & DevOps: Knowledge of Jest, Cypress, and CI/CD tools to ensure robust, reliable code.
- Scripting: Comfort with Unix shell, Python, or Perl for automation and tooling.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with SNMP, Network Management Systems, or Linux (RedHat/RockyLinux) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong English communication, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to work independently and proactively.
- You're based in The Netherlands and have a valid work permit.
