Job description
In this role you are part of the Data Team; the heart of our operation. The Data Team comprises two teams: Data & AI Platform + Data Product & Intelligence. You will join the Data Product & Intelligence team. As a Data Specialist, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand their challenges & needs, translating these into a portfolio of diverse Data Products. This means you'll build, optimise, and maintain data models & metrics and contribute on identifying improvements to the Data Architecture and our Reporting layer (in Snowflake and dbt). To sustainably grow Swapfiets even further, you will also have your own responsibilities within Data Governance, Quality, Awareness, and Literacy. This involves ensuring reliable data within your portfolio, conducting regular meetings with stakeholders regarding their data, and hosting trainings to improve colleagues' understanding of data & make them more data-driven. Finally, you'll also contribute to our AI initiatives to improve the efficiency of how we work.
How you pedal us forward:
- Create and own a wide Data Product portfolio to support stakeholders in their challenges & increase data-driven decision making.
- Build, optimise, and maintain data models & metrics, working closely with stakeholders to define requirements.
- Contribute on identifying improvements to the Data Architecture and our Reporting layer
- Contribute to AI initiatives, e.g. train and optimise our ThoughtSpot Internal Analyst Agent (Spotter)
- Contribute to our Data Governance and Quality Strategy & Framework
- Create Data Awareness and improve Data Literacy across the organization
- Innovate and be up to speed on trends in the Modern Data Stack
Requirements
- Higher vocational working and thinking level on a Data & Statistical level
- 3 - 7 years of relevant working experience
- Critical and Analytical thinking
- Good Stakeholder Management and Communication skills
- Translating business needs to technical requirements
- Advanced level of SQL
- Beginner or intermediate level of Python
- Passionate about helping others work more (efficiently) data-driven by giving trainings to our Data Champions (eg. General Data Skills, SQL, Visualisation in ThoughtSpot etc.)
- Experience working with ThoughtSpot or other Data Visualization tools (eg. Tableau, Looker)
- Bonus if you have worked with Snowflake, DBT, Semantic Layer, Pycharm, Github and Atlan
