Job description

An opportunity is available for an experienced L3 Wintel & VDI Support Engineer to support complex, deployable customer systems across multiple security domains. The L3 Wintel & VDI Support Engineer will play a key role in maintaining, developing, and supporting a live secure environment, handling escalated incidents and implementing controlled changes within a high assurance setting., * As a L3 Wintel & VDI Support Engineer, you will manage incidents escalated from 1st and 2nd line teams across distributed environments.

  • You will support live systems through structured change implementation and technical problem resolution.
  • You will review and create Low Level Designs, build documentation, and Knowledge Base Articles.
  • You will deliver knowledge transfer to customer teams and contribute to ongoing service improvement.
  • You will support virtualised and secure infrastructure components within a complex estate.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and 2022.
  • Deep experience with Active Directory and Group Policy design and support.
  • Experience with Microsoft HyperV and VMware NSX virtualisation.
  • Knowledge of Skype for Business and Exchange 2012 or 2016.
  • Good understanding of network design principles, firewalls, and WAN protocols.
  • Experience with McAfee AV and ePolicy Orchestrator.
  • Strong PowerShell and scripting capability.
