Job description
Resilience Test Engineer - Fully Remote - 3-month contract - Inside IR35 - £500-£550 per day
I have partnered with a financial services firm who are looking for a Resilience Test Engineer. This role is critical in ensuring their platforms, services, and applications remain available, reliable, and fault-tolerant under real-world stress and failure scenarios. You will design, execute, and automate resilience, chaos, performance, and failover tests across distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in resilience engineering, chaos testing, cloud platforms (AWS), microservices, and automated quality gates integrated into unified CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Hands-on experience with chaos engineering tools (AWS FIS, Gremlin, Chaos Mesh, Litmus).
- Strong Scripting/automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or TypeScript.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as K6.
- Familiarity with microservices ( Rest/GraphQL/event based), containers, AWS ECS/EKS, and service meshes.
- Strong understanding of observability stacks (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Demonstrable knowledge of resilience patterns (circuit breaker, retry, timeout, load shedding, autoscaling).
