Job description

VRD Consultancy is looking for a Cyber Security consultant with 5+ Year or more experience. The job will involve working within a secure network environment alongside other Network Security Engineers in order to provide consultancy, solution design, and carry out implementation activities as part of major project deliveries. Working closely with project teams on a variety of projects taking information from initial customer proposals/specifications and turning them into completed design documentation. Implement configuration changes across the different types of network devices deployed across the client estate based on approved design documentation and overarching architectural guidelines., · Provide planning, design, engineering, implementation, configuration, next-day support and troubleshooting for our customer network & security infrastructure · Be a key contributor to discussions with our partner's network/IT teams to understand the requirements and how we can better work with their infrastructure · Responsible for the requirement gathering, defining objectives of project, clear scoping, and responding to RFPs. · Produce and maintain all architecture artifacts including vision, principles, constraints, standards, high- and low-level design, etc. · A key contributor to the design of standard network blueprint taking into account product and operational requirements. · Interface with architecture, network, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure that proposed designs address organizational needs. · Work with the technical engineers during the full implementation life cycle and help validate and install the solution. · Attend project review/technical meetings and represent the Design & Implementation part of the organization. · Act as a point of contact for any technical issues within the project or program. · Peer Review designs, implementation plans, and change scripts produced by peers. · Attend CAB meetings to represent the Change. · Writing Change scripts before actual implementation. · Liaise and work with project contacts directly if required. · Deliver to challenging timescales. · Share and pass on the knowledge/experience of relevant networking products/services/technologies. · Plan and coordinate activities, engaging with other stakeholders to manage and implement a program. · Be able to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues either remotely or physically on site · Validation of Firewall configuration, rule creation, and assessment of Firewall traffic flow (dynamic routing, log analysis). · Report progress to supervisor and project managers, including the preparation of weekly status reports

Requirements

Do you have experience in WAN?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, · Have an understanding of most of the following network technologies: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, datacentre LAN, SDN networks, unified comms, Public, Private, Hybrid Clouds, network management solutions, network-specific security, and remote access technologies and approaches. · Able to create both high- and low-level technical design documentation. · Strong experience with large-scale Firewall architecture, design, testing, development, migration, and integration · Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining Firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, SSL decryption and security, and service availability throughout the system life cycle · Must be a self-starter with the ability and drive to own and deliver a project work package within minimum guidance and support. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be able to work to high professional standards. · Ability to adapt to a changing workload profile and demonstrate the full flexibility of your approach. · Deliver under significant pressure and to meet challenging deadlines. · Understanding of large-scale project requirements. · Demonstrate a solid analytical problem-solving experience. · Ability to work a flexible, off-hours schedule to accommodate customer maintenance windows

Technologies and Products · In-depth knowledge of networking devices such as Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Routers, Switches, TAPs, RemoteAccess, Syslogs, SNMP, Wireshark, Tcpdump. · In-depth knowledge of networking protocols HTTP(s), VOIP, TCP/IP, NAT'ing, etc. · Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI, and Purdue Reference Model concepts. · FortiGate, Check Point, JuniperNetworks, Cisco and/or Palo Alto Network Firewall hardware/software experience · Demonstrated Experience with Symantec's Blue Coat Web Proxy platform · In-depth knowledge of routing protocols that include BGP, RIP, OSPF & EIGRP · Knowledge and Experience of NexusFabricPath, ACI, SD-WAN · Experience in Azure/AWSNetworking and security · Understanding and knowledge of DevOps · Experience with Unix/Linux operating Systems · In-depth IPV4 & IPV6understanding or experience · Understanding of CloudTechnologies AWS/Azure/GCP · Good working knowledge of ITIL principles.
