Job description
We are looking for a Junior Technical Administrator to join our team and support the delivery of renewable energy projects, including Solar PV, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), and EV charging systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in technical administration within the energy sector. You will be responsible for supporting Distribution Network Operator (DNO) applications, notifications, and export limitation compliance under ENA G98, G99, and G100 regulations.
You will receive full guidance and training from the Technical Manager, who will help you understand processes, manage submissions, and develop your technical knowledge as you gain experience., * Assist in preparing and submitting G98, G99, and G100 applications to DNOs under the guidance of the Technical Manager.
- Support the management of pre-application enquiries, full applications, and quotations.
- Help with post-installation notifications and export limitation submissions.
- Assist in reviewing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and technical specifications for compliance.
- Track application progress and escalate DNO queries to the Technical Manager when needed.
- Maintain records of grid approvals, constraints, and conditions in internal trackers.
- Communicate updates and support coordination with designers, installers, and internal teams.
- Participate in witness testing and other project activities alongside the Technical Manager.
- Stay up to date with ENA Engineering Recommendations (G98, G99, G100), learning under the Technical Manager's guidance.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Administrative experience?, * Excellent attention to detail and organisation in order to effectively coordinate with DNOs, clients, installers and internal project teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive problem-solving and ability to respond quickly to technical queries.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Previous experience with DNO procedures, submission portals, and grid approval processes - Desirable
- Understanding of ENA G98, G99, and G100 regulations and application processes. - Desirable, * Due to the location of the business, do you have a reliable means of transport to travel to the office?
