Job description

You'll work with the Senior Data Engineer and wider teams to maintain and improve InstaVolt's data warehouse and data pipelines. Your main focus will be integrating new data sources, building data models, fixing issues, and helping the team expand our data capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, learning new tools, and working with data. Key responsibilities include

  • Keeping an eye on data systems & fixing issues when they arise.
  • Building, updating & maintaining data models using dbt core and vs code.
  • Reviewing new potential data sources.
  • Connecting new data sources to the internal data pipeline and data warehouse.

Requirements

Strong SQL skills

  • Experience using dbt
  • Ability to model business processes using SQL in dbt
  • Familiarity with Git and version control.
  • An understanding of cloud data warehouse concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of SOAP/REST API's, JSON and YAML.
  • Basic Python for API data retrieval and data movement.

Soft skills

  • Have a logical and problem-solving mindset
  • Be comfortable working both independently and with other members of the business.
  • Have strong relationship building skills across teams.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to grow your technical knowledge
