Tasks

• Design Solution Architectures for software applications.

• Ensure adherence to architecture standards and target architectures.

• Manage architecture debt and guide software engineers., You are a member of the System Architects team within global IT Architecture. Together with your colleagues from the Domain and Foundation Architecture teams, you are responsible for designing Solution Architectures. As a System Architect, you build bridges to Software Engineering and ensure that software solutions follow the target architecture. You design and steer solution and integration designs for an on-prem Order Management platform in Alternative Investments., * You design and are responsible for the Solution Architecture for applications in delivery

• You ensure that your Solution Architectures in delivery adhere to architecture standards and are aligned with the target architectures of the domain

• You raise and manage architecture debt when there is a misalignment between transition and the target architectures

• You initiate architecture decisions, document them as Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and have them approved by the relevant architecture boards

• You advise and coach software engineers on the implementation of Solution Architectures and ensure technical feasibility

• In addition to architecture design, you also support later phases of the software lifecycle, such as testing, release and operations

• 2+ years in banking trading, with 3+ years as Senior Architect.
• Strong integration design skills, especially with APIs and Kafka.
• Proactive mindset with ability to meet deadlines., * 2+ years of experience in banking trading or order management (experience in Alternative Investments, Equity, or Fixed Income Trading preferred)
• 3+ years of experience as a Senior Architect, as well as a Lead or Senior Software Engineer
• Ability to identify options for solution architectures and make trade-off architecture decisions
• Strong integration design skills (APIs and event-based integration, including Kafka)
• Understanding of the order lifecycle and its integration into internal end-to-end processes
• Ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Understanding and experience in software engineering, including DevOps
• Proven experience in solution design and knowledge of current architectural styles, e.g., event-driven
• Ability to collaboratively develop and coordinate solutions with business and technology stakeholders, and architecture colleagues
• Proactive mindset, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Optional: Hands-on experience with IBM Order Transport and Management System (OTMS)
• Fluency in English (written and verbal); German language skills are desirable
