As a Public Cybersecurity Sales Specialist, you are an expert in security solutions and the full suite of security offerings across public customers. You are responsible for leading the pursuit of cybersecurity opportunities while collaborating closely with Account Managers and broader sales teams. You drive proactive pipeline-building initiatives and use deep security expertise to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close complex security deals built on HPE Security Platforms including secure SD-WAN, Security Service Edge (SSE), Zero Trust, and Hybrid-mesh firewall technologies. You will also play a key role in helping customers understand the value of the fully integrated HPE Network and Security portfolios.
You apply advanced subject-matter knowledge to solve complex business challenges and are recognized as a trusted security expert by both internal teams and customers. You frequently contribute to the development of new ideas, methods, and best practices.
In this role as Cybersecurity Sales Specialist you:
- Are responsible for a defined set of public accounts in Germany
- Create, drive, and manage a robust security sales pipeline while identifying and developing new business opportunities leading to new logo wins
- Capture leads outside of specialization and leverage closed-loop lead management to ensure assignment and follow- up by others.
- Maintain strong awareness of competitors within accounts to strategically position the company's products and services better.
- Identify new opportunities and expand existing ones.
- Support Account Managers with security specialization and jointly execute aligned account and channel strategies.
- Establish consultative relationships with customers and partners at all organizational levels up to C-Level and identify buying influencers
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction.

- University degree in computer science/business administration or equivalent qualification

8 years working experience in a sales environment selling high value software and services
- 3-5 years of cybersecurity-specific sales experience
- Substantial experience in public sales and understanding the public market segment
- Expert know-how in cybersecurity solutions, the market and competitive positioning
- Strong consultative and enterprise selling skills: Strong customer orientation, emphatic and advisory expertise
- Strong knowledge about deal project management, business planning, execution and control
- Self-motivation with a go-and-get approach and will to win
- Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- High level of responsibility and confidence
- MEDDPICC & Salesforce experience
