Job description
- Ship User-Facing Features: You will build and refine the interfaces for our mobile and web apps. You will ensure that when a user speaks, the translation appears instantly and clearly on the screen.
- Integrate Real-Time APIs: You will hook up our frontend applications to our Voice API, handling real-time data streams (WebSockets/gRPC) and managing connection states gracefully on unstable networks.
- Optimize for Performance: You will hunt down milliseconds. You will use profiling tools to ensure our React components render instantly and our backend services process audio chunks efficiently.
- Collaborate & Learn: You will participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions. You will ask "Why?" when you see a design choice you don't understand, and you will use AI tools to speed up your boilerplate coding so you can focus on the hard logic.
Requirements
Do you have experience in gRPC?, * High Learning Trajectory (High Slope): You are excited by hard technical problems. You want to understand how WebRTC works, how LLMs process audio, and how to build apps that feel "instant."
- Full-Stack Curiosity: You are comfortable working with React/TypeScript on the frontend and C# or Python on the backend. You aren't afraid to touch a part of the stack you haven't seen before.
- User Empathy: You understand that our users are often in high-pressure situations (business meetings, frontline customer service). You build software that is robust, simple, and reliable.
- Bias for Action: You embrace the startup speed. You prefer to ship a working prototype and iterate based on feedback rather than spending weeks on a perfect design that never sees the light of day.
- AI-Native Velocity: You leverage AI-powered tools (like GitHub Copilot or Claude) to accelerate your velocity and eliminate repetitive toil. You use AI for boilerplate code, test generation, and debugging, allowing you to focus your cognitive energy on high-value architectural decisions and complex problem-solving.
