Job description
The Solutions Architect will play a key role in City Building's digital transformation-designing secure, scalable solutions that support business objectives and enable strategic change. You will act as a trusted technical leader, translating complex requirements into clear end-to-end architectures that align with organisational strategy and integrate with existing systems. Working closely with stakeholders, project managers, technical teams, and external partners, you will shape solution designs, validate technical approaches, and guide successful delivery. You will champion modern cloud and digital technologies, promote architectural best practice, and help embed strong governance, security, and a culture of innovation across the organisation. Requirements
You will have substantial experience in solutions architecture, systems design, or technical leadership within complex IT or digital environments, supported by a degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field. You will also hold recognised professional certifications such as TOGAF or cloud architect credentials (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Your track record includes designing and delivering integrated, scalable technology solutions, with strong knowledge of cloud, on-premises, and hybrid architectures, as well as core integration, data, and security principles. You will be confident working with enterprise platforms, digital solutions, and modern development practices, and skilled in documenting and communicating architectures through models, diagrams, and specifications. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership abilities are essential, along with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
