LHA London is a long established charity operating 14 hostel sites across London, alongside a central office function.
We are seeking a confident, experienced IT and Cyber Security leader who thrives in a standalone strategic role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking organisational ownership, shaping governance frameworks, and leading through external suppliers rather than delivering hands on technical support.
You will be the organisation's senior voice on IT, cyber security and digital risk. You will bring clarity, structure and assurance to a live, multi site operational environment that runs continuously and supports frontline services.
This is a leadership and oversight role with real influence.
You will:
- Lead IT and cyber security strategy across the organisation
- Strengthen governance, standards and accountability
- Maintain the IT and cyber risk register
- Provide oversight of Microsoft 365, Azure and identity management
- Ensure appropriate access controls and security posture
- Oversee network resilience across 14 sites
- Define accountability frameworks with external IT providers and hold suppliers
- to agreed performance and security standards
- Oversee specialist systems including CCTV, access control and telephony
- Ensure effective business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements
- Support alignment with Cyber Essentials Plus and data protection standards
- Advise senior leadership on technology risk, investment and digital maturity
- Provide proportionate oversight of AI use and emerging digital risk

Requirements
Do you have experience in IT project management?, You bring:
Strategic IT leadership experience in a multi site environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and identity management
Demonstrable cyber security and risk management expertise
Experience managing outsourced IT providers
Confidence translating technical risk into clear, practical advice
A pragmatic approach suited to operational settings
Experience within hospitality, housing, supported accommodation or similar live service environments is desirable.
You are comfortable working autonomously.
You are structured and commercially aware.
You focus on proportionate solutions that balance security with operational reality., * IT project management: 5 years (required)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £65,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
