Senior Full Stack Developer

Job description
You'll be the second London-based engineer joining a tight product engineering team. The product is live, customers are paying, and the feature roadmap is aggressive. You'll own features end-to-end; from database schema to deployment, across a modern TypeScript stack.
This is proper full stack work. You're not being handed Jira tickets by a product manager three layers removed from users. You'll talk to customers, understand the problem, build the solution, and ship it. Rinse, repeat, weekly.
What You'll Work On:
- Product features across the entire stack: Next.js 14 (App Router), TypeScript, tRPC, Tailwind
- Backend services: API design, database queries, third-party integrations (Stripe, auth providers, analytics)
- New product surfaces that put ML intelligence in front of users in intuitive ways
- Billing and credit systems: metering, enforcement, pricing logic
- Infrastructure and reliability: CI/CD, monitoring, test coverage improvements on GCP/Kubernetes
- Technical debt reduction, the codebase is honest, not pristine. You'll make it better
Requirements
Do you have experience in TypeScript?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Strong TypeScript and React. Next.js App Router experience is a bonus but not essential if you learn fast
- Comfortable designing and building APIs - tRPC preferred, but solid REST or GraphQL experience translates
- Solid SQL and database fundamentals. You can write a migration, optimise a query, and reason about data models
- Product instinct. You think about what the user actually needs, not just what's technically interesting
- Self-directed. You'll get context and direction, not micromanagement
- Comfortable working asynchronously with a distributed team
Benefits & conditions
- UK-based
- Minimum 4 hours daily overlap with US Eastern Time (1pm-5pm GMT as a baseline)
- Engineering, product, and design all run on EST. Code reviews, standups, and sprint planning require real-time presence
What You Get:
- Competitive salary + meaningful equity at a company with genuine technical differentiation
- End-to-end ownership. You'll ship features that enterprise clients use within days, not quarters
- A tight engineering team with high standards and zero politics
- Direct exposure to ML-powered product development - you'll work alongside systems that are genuinely state-of-the-art
- A Head of Engineering who's been in the trenches building this product from day one and will push you to be better
The Vibe:
Small team. High bar. No dead weight. We move fast because we have to, the market is massive and the window is now. You'll work with people who've built and exited companies, architected novel ML systems, and shipped products used by thousands of organisations.
If you want a gentle onboarding, a mentor assigned on day one, and quarterly performance reviews- brilliant, but not here. If you want to build something meaningful at a pace that actually matters, then let's have a conversation.
